How to start services

Have your child’s pediatrician fax a referral to (985) 580-9921 or email referral to referral@expressyourselfspeechandlanguagetherapyllc.com

You will receive a text message stating the referral has been received.

After the referral is received, your child’s insurance eligibility and benefits will be verified.

You will receive a telephone call to scheduled the developmental test when a session day and time becomes available.

The developmental test is to determine if an evaluation is needed for

speech therapy

or

occupational therapy

or

both

The developmental test may last for 1 hour or 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Based on the results of the developmental test, you will receive a telephone call when a session day and time becomes available to schedule

a speech therapy evaluation

or

an occupational therapy evaluation

or

both

The evaluation(s) will last for 1 hour or 1 hour and 15 minutes.

If your child qualifies for

speech therapy

or

occupational therapy

or

both

the sessions are once a week at the private practice

Speech Therapy sessions are 35 or 40 minutes.

Occupational Therapy sessions are 45 minutes.
